Once you have captured the attention of your target market, you have to give them reasons to keep coming back to your site to get a dose of what you have to offer.

1. Read or watch the news. This is a good venue to know what the current issues are. Once you are updated with the news, you can state your views about the topics that caught your attention. Choose the ones that are in line with your blog’s theme or the kind of issues that your target market will likely be interested in.
You can simply repeat what you have read or watched and inject your thoughts about it as you go about the write-up. You can also choose to do some parody and recreate a humorous story out of all these. You can share your opinions and related experiences about the issues to your readers.
You have lots of options in this case. You can touch on the current news, celebrity and lifestyle headlines, the latest about gadgets and technology and many more. The idea here is to learn something new and state what you think about such.
2. Contradict popular beliefs. In line with the news that you have watched or read, you have to write an opinion that you are certain, will be contradicted by many of your readers. This is also a nice step on coming up with ideas to blog about. You can do this even though you are also siding with the popular belief. This is a good way to spark conversation, debates and exchange of ideas with your readers. Through this, you will know more about who they are and what interest them.
3. Go out of your way and conduct an interview. If you can find known personalities or even politicians who will agree to an interview, then you have to grab the opportunity and make sure that you prepare all the necessary questions before the set date of the meeting. You can also interview common people or maybe conduct a poll and ask their opinions about the issues at hand.
4. Share ideas, talents, hobbies, etc. What kinds of talents do you have? Are you good in crafting, you are a budding photographer or you are good in investing money? You can post some tutorials and offer tips to your readers about the field of your expertise or the areas that you are quite known for.

Yeah, sometimes it’s a bit hard to find new topics to write about, but there are a lot of resources to inspire bloggers to write new posts. I sometimes use Amazon’s book store to browse through books and find some inspiration from the table of contents of popular books in my niche. This is a great way to find new stuff.

I agree that there comes a point of time that you taught to lose a lot of ideas and whenever that happens to me what I actually do is to check out blogs from my chosen social networks and look for related blogs from where I can look for ideas of what people might be of interest reading. Usually, what I do is to elaborate the post I read and share my personal opinions about the topic I found during my research.
